Beckenham Rotarians visit the Douai Club for Lunch
On a fine morning on 14th October three cars set off from Beckenham with eleven Rotarians for the cross channel ferry at Dover.  The object was to carry out a raid on our fellow Rotarians in the Douai Club.  We were blessed with very calm waters and a bright sunny day for the trip which enabled us all to arrive at Air Acceuil for lunch at 12:30.

Our Douai friends made us extremely welcome and conversation flowed freely in a mixture of French, English and Franaglais!  Congratulations are due to President Nick who gave a brief speech in French, which was well received by our Douai friends. 

The opportunity was taken to extend an invitation to our own Club 75th Anniversary celebration in May 2009. This was enthusiastically received by Club President Max Migliorettti and we anticipate a good delegation of Douai Rotarians at the Dinner next year
