Club Officers attend District Handover

On the evening of 1st July, IPP Nick and President Ian attended the District handover which was held in Rochester at the Corn Exchange Building.  Approximately 250 Rotarians from all over the District heard IPDG John Wilton summarise the successes for Rotary in his year, the most notable being the success his chosen charity aimed at clearing land mines in Kosovo.  After giving his summary of the year he handed over to incoming DG Euan Eddie.

DG Euan then outlined his plans for the year.  The key areas for attention being the continued effort with the Polio Plus Rotary project, the RI objective, and his own effort aimed at providing fresh water and sanitation in Bale Province in Burkina Faso, one of the worlds poorest countries in NW Africa.

Club President Ian was invested with his officers’ ribbon by IPP Nick who congratulated him on his election to Club President and wished him well for his year ahead.
